 “German and India 2011-2012:Infinite Opportunities” celebrates 60 years of Indo-German diplomatic ties.
The Indo-German Urban Mela is the centerpiece of the year of Germany in India. It is all set of cutting-edge multi-purpose pavilions- a synthesis of art, architecture and technology designed by renowned German installation artist Markus Heinsdorff.
Commencing on Thursday 11th January 2013 until Sunday 20th January 2013, the Indo-German Urban Mela at Deccan College Ground, Deccan College Road, Yerawada, Pune - 411006 from 10:00 a.m. to 09:00 p.m. ,will feature a dynamic selection of interactive presentations, conferences and cultural performances hosted by German Organisations.
The Urban Mela examines the impact of rapid urbanisation through cultural and scientific events, talks and expositions. A total of 12 gem shaped pavilions designed by German artist Markus Heinsdorff set up at the venue are centered on the theme of `StadtRaume` or `city spaces` and are holding presentations and conferences hosted by different German and Indian corporations and organisations.
